Yes. Bookmarks let you save places any time, sort them into groups such as Seafood or Activities, add tags and notes, and add them to any trip later. On Android you can share a place from Google Maps or Google Search straight into your bookmarks, and you can share a bookmark group with friends so everyone adds places to it.
