1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using letsTRIPin ("the App"), including the web app, the Android app, and this website, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using the App.

2. Description of Service

letsTRIPin is a collaborative trip planning platform. It lets you create itineraries, manage accommodations and travel bookings, track and split shared expenses, keep personal and shared checklists, invite crew members, store trip documents, and use AI-powered suggestions. The App is provided "as is" for personal, non-commercial use.

3. User Accounts

• You sign in with your Google account. You are responsible for keeping your account secure.
• You must provide accurate information and keep your profile up to date.
• You are responsible for all activity under your account.
• We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

4. User Content

• You keep ownership of everything you upload or create (documents, photos, itinerary data, checklists, comments).
• By adding content, you give us a limited license to store, process, and display it within the App, solely to provide the service.
• You must not upload content that is illegal, harmful, or infringes anyone's rights.
• We may remove content that violates these terms without prior notice.

5. Storage Limits

Each trip has a 25 MB storage quota for documents and attachments, with a maximum of 2 MB per file. We may change these limits with reasonable notice.

6. AI Features

• AI-generated suggestions and responses are for convenience and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or out of date.
• AI features have a token-based usage limit (currently 10,000 tokens per user), which may change.
• Please verify AI-generated travel information (flight times, hotel availability, local regulations, and so on) before relying on it.
• We are not liable for decisions made based on AI-generated content.

7. Shared Trips & Collaboration

• When you invite crew members, they get access to trip data according to the permissions you grant.
• You are responsible for managing who has access to your trips.
• Checklists are personal to their creator. Anyone a checklist is shared with can edit its items; only its creator can share it further or delete it.
• Public trips are visible to anyone with the link. Do not include sensitive personal information in public trips.

8. Expense Tracking

The expense splitting feature is a tracking tool only and does not move money. Settlement amounts are suggestions, not financial advice. We are not responsible for disputes between users about expense settlements.

9. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the App for any unlawful purpose
• Try to gain unauthorized access to other users' data
• Upload malicious files or code
• Abuse the AI features (automated scraping, prompt injection, and similar)
• Interfere with the App's infrastructure or other users' experience
• Create multiple accounts to get around usage limits

10. Intellectual Property

The App's design, code, branding, and original content are owned by letsTRIPin. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without written permission.

11. Third-Party Services

The App uses third-party services, including Google (Sign-In, Maps Platform, Analytics), Firebase (hosting, database, storage, notifications), and Google's Gemini API for AI features. Your use of the App is also subject to the Google Maps/Google Earth Additional Terms and the Google Privacy Policy. We are not responsible for third-party outages or changes.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, letsTRIPin is not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the App, including data loss, missed travel bookings, inaccurate AI suggestions, or expense calculation errors.

13. Availability & Modifications

• We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the App.
• We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time.
• We may update these terms. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

14. Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may end your access if you violate these terms. After termination, your data may be deleted after a reasonable retention period, as described in our Privacy Policy.
